  • Entryway Hammock

    The Welcome

Guests enter Casa Karina via a commanding 19th-Century River Teak door which was imported from Rajasthan, India. You are immediately welcomed by a handmade hammock which sits next to a fireplace with volcanic stones. This artisan hammock is weaved over four months in the Wayuu style prevalent in northern Colombia. As you continue to enter, you are also welcomed by a cactus garden embracing the space behind a comfortable couch filled with vibrant pillows from Tulum.

    The Living Room

The floors and beams are made from recycled hardwood ‘Trojes’ from the state of Michoacán, which is prominent in the blue tones of the kitchen’s ceiling. All of the doors in the home are made from heavy antique mesquite wood, also from Michoacán.

Look above and you will find yourself gazing at the pool above with rays of light flickering through the home, and at moments, images of your friends & family passing through the crystal clear waters.

  • The Chef's Kitchen

The chef’s kitchen perfectly blends contemporary functionality with attractive vintage-chic finishes. The open kitchen features a complete range of Viking appliances, including a professional oven, a dishwasher, and a French door refrigerator. The counters are finished in raw quartzite while the basin sink is made from a large river stone. The ground floor also includes a bar area, which is stocked with mezcal and wine for guests’ enjoyment.
